Website
The website layout can at least be described as original, and utilizes a black, gold, white and grey theme. A fairly basic sliding graphic fills the eye in the centre of the screen, with odds for different games displayed at the top of each image. Unfortunately the games listed don’t always correspond with the team in the picture which is a bit confusing. Underneath are the links to the sports that Planet Of Bets bookmaker offers – they can be found in the form of a scrolling menu bar, with an image behind each discipline. Further down the page, odds are available for a number of different matches soon to commence. The right hand side of the page is devoted to the bet slip and live betting action (which is generally very limited).
When visiting pda.planetofbets.com or wap.planetofbets.com, customers can access a very basic web app. The functionality isn’t great and the page doesn’t look overly secure.
Overall both the main website and the mobile version look quite amateurish in terms of design and functionality. Interestingly however, on the main site there is a small red button beneath the live action, which, when clicked, takes customers to the ‘red’ website. This is still run by Planet Of Bets and appears to offer the identical markets and odds, but the layout of the site is in line with conventional bookmaker designs, with crisper font, spacing, giving a much more user-friendly experience. Only the owners will know why this ‘skin’ is hidden in the background.
The text on the site is written in fairly poor English, so it seems like it is primarily aimed at the Eastern European market.
Languages
The site can be viewed in English, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
Markets
Planet Of Bets bookmaker has a very limited number of sports available for punters to bet on. They focus on all of the major action such as football, tennis, basketball, ice hockey, handball, volleyball, baseball, rugby, MMA, snooker and darts. A total of eleven sports pales in comparison to the vast majority of online bookmakers who have at least twenty.
Although the number of sports is limited, the depth of the markets in terms of geographical coverage is quite fair, especially for football. There are odds available for an impressive 58 countries, with many of the leagues having prices for more than one tier of competition. South American football is well represented, as is Asian action, and there is even room for the Ugandan Super League.
The number of additional markets for football matches is fair, if not spectacular. 48 hours before an English Premier League match between QPR v Tottenham Hotspur, Planet Of Bets had 52 extra bets on top of their 1X2 prices.
Basketball betting is okay. There are odds for games from 15 different countries. Alongside the major European leagues, there is also action from the USA, including the NBA and NCAA college competitions. The league generally determines how many additional bet types there are for each game – the Belgium league often only has two extra bet types, while the EuroLeague can have 30+. Ice hockey odds can be found for the major European leagues and across the Atlantic, and rugby betting covers England, Australia, France and Ireland.
Odds
Competitiveness of odds can be determined by the total book percentage. When converting odds to percentages, a book with no profit margin would equate to 100% when all of the selections in an a market are added together. The odds for English Premier League games are uncompetitive. The top firms operate at around 102-103%, with the majority sitting in the 105-106% range. Planet Of Bets work to 107.5-108% figures, and that doesn’t bode well, with the Premier League usually the most competitive in terms of odds. Indeed, the book percentages for the English Championship are 109-109.5%.
Tennis odds work to around 107-107.5%, which is again poorer than most firms on the market. Unfortunately, Planet Of Bets is even less generous when it comes to ice hockey, with 111-112% commonplace. Basketball odds vary from 105-110%.
Ultimately, Planet Of Bets Bookmaker doesn’t offer stand out prices for any sport.
Promotions
Planet Of Bets Bookmaker doesn’t offer customers any sort of sign up bonuses.

Review
Unfortunately, Planet Of Bets bookmaker cannot be recommended to punters. Their site is poorly put together, with broken English. While their football betting is fair in terms of countries covered, the market depth is below average and the odds for most sports are uncompetitive. There are no promotions or concessions to entice customers and those using the website may be perturbed by the business location in the British Virgin Islands (likely to be difficult to recoup any funds in the event of a dispute).
