Viks Sports Review
Viks Sports Summary
If Viks sports fail with their bookmaker, then they need not worry – a successful career in poetry may await judging by their about us page. A well-written, rhyming poem may informs the customers that the company base their theme around Vikings, but it doesn’t give much else away. So who are Viks sports?

What Does the Site Look Like?
Viks sports utilises a three-column layout and have adopted a black, blue and grey theme for their website. The spacing is good, the page isn’t overly dominated by graphics or banners, and everything is easy to navigate around. The list of sports can be found on the left-hand side, the sports are in the middle and the bet slip is on the right hand side. By clicking the icon next to the Viks logo at the top of the page, customers can access information such as FAQ, promotions and contact us etc.
Viks have several options when it comes to the languages available on the website, although it has to be said that some of the options are a little bit confusing. Customers can view the website in a range of different English languages (British, New Zealand, Australian, Canadian), Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and German. There is also the option to view in European, whatever that language may be! Customers can choose between decimal odds, fractional or those confusing American ones. The option to change the format can be found just beneath the bet slip.
Promotions
In the past, Viks have offered their clients a sign-up bonus when joining the bookmaker, but at the time of review, they have done away with any sort of concession for new customers, and have instead focused their attentions on providing significant bonuses for those players who use the casino.
Viks are not totally without concessions for customers, and they have introduced a 20% cashback on multiple bets. Customers need to place multiple bets with accumulative odds of 2.00 or higher and if those bets are losers, then at the end of the week, Viks will credit 20% of losses on those bets back to the players.
Customers can claim their bonus by contracting the support team with the bet ID’s of multiple bets that qualify for the offer, within 30 days from when the bet was settled. The free bets will be credited to the customer’s account on each Friday. Any winnings generated by the free bets must be wagered at least 5 times with minimum odds of 2.00 within 30 days from when the free bet was settled.
The bonus is not available to customers from the following countries: Germany, Serbia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Estonia, Indonesia, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Russia, Macedonia, Republic of Korea, Ukraine, Greece, Croatia, Nigeria and Latvia.
Sports Markets & Odds
Viks have selected a decent number of sports on which to offer betting odds.
The first thing to note is that horse racing odds are offered by the firm. They specifically went out of their way to obtain a UK Gambling Commission license in order to provide services to British bettors, and horse racing is one of the most popular betting events on the isles.
The early odds for horse racing contests are fantastic and better than 90% of industry rivals. For contests that are starting the following day, the average percentage per runner worked out at less than 1.5% per runner, when the majority of other betting sites work to a 2%+ per runner book.
Football odds are not quite in the same realm of competitiveness as the horse racing prices, with book percentages for English Premier League matches working out at 106-106.5% per game. These odds aren’t terrible but are just slightly worse than average when compared to all the established firms. There are around 100-110 additional markets for each game on top of the 1X2 odds, with total goals, correct score, Asian handicap, both teams to score and much more.
On top of the popular sports, Viks also have some of the less covered events, such as sailing, futsal, e-sports, cross country skiing and Aussie rules football.

Restricted Countries
As with all bookmakers, there is the dreaded list of restricted countries, where residents of certain nations cannot sign up for an account, and with Viks it is no different;
Afghanistan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Comoros, Congo, Denmark, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Georgia, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Martinique, Mauritius, Mayotte, Moldova, New Caledonia, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reunion, Romania, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Wallis and Futuna, Western Sahara, Netherlands and Yemen are all banned from using the website.
Customer Support
Viks have three options for customer who wish to contact the company. They can either call the company on their UK telephone number (+44 20 3389 6555), can interact with customer services via live chat (located at the bottom right hand corner of the page), or can use the online e-mail form. Viks have their support lines manned from 09:00-22:00 GMT Monday to Friday and 09:00-20:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
For outside of customer service hours, players may want to take a look at the extensive FAQ section which answers queries on a whole range of different topics.
Betting On The Move
The mobile site is very good. While Viks sports don’t have a dedicated mobile app, their mobile optimised website more than makes up for it.
Compatible with all devices, the mobile site is one of the best around in terms of aesthetics and functionality. When bettors land on the homepage, they are given the option of visiting the bookie, casino or live casino. Once the bookie is clicked on, customers can access their desired sport by selecting from the scrolling horizontal menu bar at the top of the page. There is live betting in the centre of the screen along with upcoming events.
The icons are sharply designed and anything that can be done on the main site can also be done from a handheld device.
SBO Verdict
Viks sports have been operating for less than two years, but they have made a very strong start, offering a range of sports, including horse racing. They have the fundamentals right, which is essential for the long-term success of a new bookmaker, and are recommended to bettors.
