This won’t take long – there are none! As tends to be the case with sites that come under the Blue Bird N.V umbrella, there are no promotions available for either new or existing punters. We contacted their customer services team who said there will likely be some in the future – and to be fair some already exist for the casino and poker rooms – but as things stand we are unable to report even a single bonus. Perhaps there will be some further down the line but, for now, there are none.

Familiar Design, but Don’t Let That Put You Off

While we were, of course, disappointed at the lack of financial incentives, a closer look at Only Win revealed a site that is actually pretty good. It has a design that is pleasing on the eye and has a touch of class but, better still, is supported by some well-designed software that backs up some solid functionality. The bottom line is it offers the punter a pleasing betting experience.

The site’s homepage sets the tone with a striking colour ad – for their NFL betting at the time of this review – and if the visually appealing page is designed to head punters towards the site’s wares then it does a good job. It offers a one-click route through to the bookmaker, casinos and betting games.

The sports betting is what we’re particularly interested in, and so a click on the ‘Sports’ link takes us through to something that, for regular punters, has a familiar look. They have adopted the traditional three-column set-up within a design that matches the eye-catching style of the home page.

As per normal, the left sidebar is used to list all of the betting sports on offer, with the numbers of markets available indicated on each line. The precise number and variety of sports and events is something we’ll look at later in this review, but it’s a well-designed column which defaults to a sport-by-sport listing and then drills down to another one or two levels, depending on the sport.

If we take soccer – the most obvious example – one click on the icon opens a list (still within the sidebar) which is mainly based on countries and continents, but also includes special bets for international teams, international football, goalscorers and specific competitions like the new UEFA Nations League. Putting the national teams and international competitions aside, if you click on a country (or continent) you open a sub-menu that lists all of the leagues available under that heading. Only when you’ve drilled down to the base level does it fill the main body of the page with the betting data.

We’ll examine in detail what betting information is provided, but first up it’s worth highlighting Only Win bookmaker’s clever way of narrowing down the date of the match or event you wish to bet on. At the top of the left sidebar is a gauge that allows you to choose the day of the week and also, if betting on same-day events, whether the start time is within one, three, six, nine or twelve hours.

Once you have selected a fixture, a single click fills the main body of the page with all the betting information you would expect from a quality sports betting site. Each fixture is offered in a single line with some standard information and bets – date of fixture, three-way bet, double chance, draw no bet and over/under 2.5 goals – with a number at the end of the line which, if clicked on, lists all of the different bets and markets available for that fixture – and there are lots. The odds are presented in decimal form, and on the same line is a stats icon that takes you to a Sportradar page where there are statistics aplenty.

For live games, accessed via the ‘Live’ link at the top of the page, they offer just a single line of odds with no stats, no match tracker, no graphics and no live streams to support the in-game action – something of a rarity these days on sports betting sites but par for the course for the Blue Bird N.V. sites. While it’s not a major issue, for those whose go-to form of betting is live, it will be something of a disappointment.

The main body of the page automatically defaults to a listing of upcoming soccer fixtures, with what they deem to be the big game of the day presented at the top with a colourful graphic accompanied by an array of data and stats.

The right-hand column follows the traditional norm, with the betting slip at the top, which is followed by a listing of ‘Latest Results’ – showing the final scores and starting prices of games that have most recently concluded – and also includes an in-house ad.

All in all, it’s a layout and design we like and, most important of all, it’s intuitive and is supported by some impressive functionality.

Plenty of Depth and Detail, and a Good Selection of Sports

Only Win bookmaker offers their customers a good range of sports but while avoiding the trap that some fall into of trying to cover every single sport that ever existed. We like this approach, as by concentrating on a select group of sports it enables them to offer a greater variety and depth of bets. In total, at the time of the review, they were offering 19 sports:

Football, Tennis, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball, NFL, Cycling, Handball, Boxing, UFC, Snooker, Soccer, Darts, Motor Sports

Within those selected sports they can go big, and offer their punters some quality in-depth betting coverage, encompassing all the big events and competitions you’d expect, but also fixtures from lower-level competitions that many fans won’t have heard of until they pop up as a betting option. To use soccer as the most obvious example again, they cover all the well-known competitions – UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, Spanish Primera Division, German Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Italian Serie A etc – but also many of the lesser known leagues, for example in Jordan, Qatar, El Salvador and Lithuania.

They also go big on the top American Sports – NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL – and provide some excellent coverage of the world’s top tennis competitions –  the US Open, Wimbledon, French Open, ATP tour, WTA tour, Davis Cup etc – with also some in-depth coverage of basketball and ice hockey beyond the famous American leagues, and loads of handball betting.

While we were unimpressed with the lack of bonuses and promotions offered by Only Win bookmaker, this deficiency was compensated for when we looked at the value of the odds they offer. With the industry standard being generally recognised as odds compiled between 105% and 106%, the fact theirs compile to around 104% – standard for the Blue Bird N.V. group – is very good indeed and puts them up there with the best on offer on the web.

Addicted to Your Phone? Not a Problem with Only Win

Unsurprisingly, Only Win bookmaker is a fully optimized mobile site and so for those who prefer to bet on the go – either on smartphone, tablet or phablet – you will find an excellent configuration that displays the same information as the desktop site, and which translates perfectly to English. It works equally well for both iOS and Android and generally offers a good betting experience in terms of both navigation and responsiveness. There are no apps available at the present time but given that the mobile optimization works nicely this is not a major problem. They can be also accessed via Facebook and Twitter.

Depositing? Withdrawing? – All Good

Cash-out is an automated process on Only Win, so, in the normal scheme of things, they operate at the acceptable end of the scale – pay-outs generally being processed within 24 hours. At the time of this review, there were no negative comments to be found online – always a good sign.

Italy Based but Available to All

The site is aimed initially at the Italian market, hence the fact it defaults to Italian, but it’s also aimed at the European and worldwide market, with generally few restrictions. Their customer services team confirmed that if you can access the site and provide all of the information required to set up an account, then you can bet on the site, and that includes punters from the US and UK.

The toggle that translates the text to English works nicely, and the site uses Euro as its base currency.

Safe, Secure and Responsible – a Worthy Combo

We usually find a good gauge of a site’s reliability and security is an online search, and are happy to report that we found no negativity at all when we searched Only Win. There was nothing to suggest the site was anything but a safe and secure place to bet, and we felt throughout the review that Only Win was a site to be trusted.

Our dealings with their customer services indicated a team that was both efficient and knowledgeable. We contacted them through their live chat facility and all the queries were answered succinctly and speedily. There is also an email address (info@bluebird-nv.com) where customers can send any questions, queries or information regarding their application.

In addition, unlike some of their competitors, we were happy to discover that Only Win do take their responsible gambling duties seriously and, in fact, devote a section at the foot of the site to the subject. They state how they want their customers to have fun with their betting but always within safe parameters, and they urge them never to stretch themselves beyond their financial means.

They encourage the use of gambling limits, which – through their customer services team – they are happy to help enforce, and ask that anyone who believes they could be showing signs of problem gambling to contact them at the earliest possible stage.

Our Verdict

While there was no disguising our disappointment over the lack of bonuses on offer on Only Win, we felt this was partly compensated for by some excellent value odds. With their odds being compiled to around 104%, it’s hard to overestimate quite how impressive these odds are compared to many of their competitors.

The site itself is a good one, with a pleasing design and functionality that is both intuitive and quick. The lack of a live match tracker was a bit of a disappointment, particularly for those who enjoy live betting.
