In what is typical Novibet fashion, there is no messing around with ‘intro’ pages, which greet you with fancy offers and graphics before eventually heading you to the meat of their content. Novibet bookmaker takes you straight to the action, with its homepage defaulting to the ‘Sports’ tab.

Another big tick for them is that while this bookie follows the traditional norms, and thereby offers the bettor a page that is familiar and easy to negotiate, it also offers a new twist on the industry standard layout.

While they have stuck with the left sidebar/main body/right sidebar theme, they have cleverly used graphics rather than words in the left sidebar in order that it barely impinges on the main body of the page. Not only does it look good, it works beautifully, with each sport and associated category represented by a simple image; a single click then opening the plethora of betting options available under each category.

Cleverly, that single click opens a new page that’s divided into two halves – major events down the left-hand side, current and upcoming matches down the right side. It works perfectly and offers the bettor all the information needed to place a bet.

In addition, in the left sidebar, a ★ hides a few more goodies. A single click opens a drop-down menu that offers 12 different competitions, fun bets, and specials, including Champions League and Europa League football, and some basketball and tennis specials.

The sidebar is completed with two icons: one for live scores and one for statistics, both which open a new page crammed full of bets and data respectively; the stats being of a very sound and detailed quality.

The main body of the page continues the split-page theme, with the left side showing a listing of live events, headed by, when applicable, some ‘Hot Right Now’ soccer matches and followed by a large selection of live matches from a mixture of sports. A single click on any given line opens a page with all the data and analysis needed to make a live bet.

The right-side of the main body shows a selection of ‘Top Bets’, presented in sections for football, basketball and tennis, and a rotating ad that offers ‘Outrights’ – the chance to pick an outright winner in a league/tournament/competition – and special bets.

The page is headed by two images (one in each column): one highlighting their top ‘live now!’ feature bet and the other their fantastic ‘100% payout’ bet that we’ll come onto in the Sports Markets & Odds section of this review.

The right-hand sidebar follows tradition and is headed by the betting slip, closely followed by a one-off ‘match of the day’ type bet, where you are given a one-click opportunity to select the correct match score.

The sidebar is complete with a selection of graphic boxes that contain offers and information – including Cash Out, Price Boost and Bet Referral – and another link to the statistics tab. Each one is useful, well-presented and informative – a more-than-handy trait that applies equally to the whole site.

Also, well worth a look is the Virtual Sports tab that is located on the main page. This is ideal for those looking for an instant bet, with virtual football and virtual tennis on offer 24/7. As a general rule, most companies compile odds to an average of between 105% and 106% (the closer to 100%, the more competitive), so with Novibet’s average at the time of this review being 105% they already offer odds at the competitive end of the market. However, on a daily basis, they offer a match or event in which they set their odds margin to 0% (no profit margin). This guarantees enhanced odds and therefore much better value. As mentioned above, the event eligible for the 0% Odds Key is situated – with its start time – above the “Top Bets” section on the main page.

Value is to be found everywhere on Novibet bookmaker but common-sense dictates that the odds for the less mainstream sports will be further in the bookmakers’ favour, as there is less information available and fewer experts who can provide reliable insight.

What Novibet bookmaker doesn’t offer is a regular welcome bonus – albeit this is more than compensated for with the other excellent promotions – but they do vary their offers from time to time and so be sure to regularly check out their promotions page.

It is a mobile-optimized site and if you are betting on a phone or tablet you are presented with a configuration that matches the desktop version and works perfectly. While there are currently no apps, given the quality of its mobile optimization this presents no problem.

Novibet bookmaker has created an excellent site that does everything both the discerning and part-time time bettor would expect from a quality bookie. It’s slick, intuitive and stylish.

They have a fine grasp of the requirements of the average bettor and have done everything in their power to create a near-perfect betting experience. It’s betting made easy, with an added bonus being the excellent range of promotions on offer.

Two minor gripes would be the lack of a live stream facility and the absence of a welcome bonus for new customers, but both are more than compensated for by the other goodies on the site, particularly the 0% commission odds bet.

All in all, Novibet have got it right and have made a good job of offering their customers a betting experience that is right up there with those provided by the big boys.
