Efbet Sports Review

Not Approved by SBO.net

Efbet Summary

Efbet Sports started life as the Bulgarian-based bookmaker, BalkanBet, and has been in operation since 2006. The bookmaker was re-branded in 2011 and is now headquartered and licensed in Malta. The change included an all-new, slick website design, available in English as well as the company’s native Bulgarian.

The clear intention is to build a customer base in Europe and worldwide, but what can Efbet offer that other bookmakers do not? How do its odds compare to the established names in the online betting world? What sort of welcome offer and bonuses does it offer? And how easy is it to deposit and withdraw funds?

  • User-friendly and intuitive website
  • Low turnover on welcome bonus
  • Competitive odds

Efbet Pros

  • Very fast withdrawals
  • Bitcoin accepted
  • Chat, email and phone support

Efbet Cons

  • No live streaming
  • Fees on some withdrawal methods

The things we like straight away about Efbet include super fast withdrawals, some of which are processed and released within an hour. Great effort has gone into the website and improving customer service, and it offers a sign-up bonus which has a low playthrough. The things that leave us feeling less than impressed are fees on withdrawals, and a lack of live streaming, but overall Efbet offers a solid and reliable service.

Read the review to find out everything you need to know about this bookmaker, then decide for yourself if it’s an account worth having.

Welcome Bonus and Promotions

Bookmakers offer a wide variety of welcome promotions, and it’s often difficult to wade through the small print to find out exactly what you’re getting. We aim to provide our readers with a full breakdown of every bookie bonus out there, to give you the best chance of winning.

Efbet offers a 25% first deposit bonus up to an amount of €100. That means you would need to deposit €400 in order to receive the full bonus. Deposit and bonus funds must be wagered 3 times over before any bonus cash can be withdrawn. You would have to place bets equivalent of €1500 at odds of no less than 1.50 before bonus funds are eligible for withdrawal. This is a sizeable task, but it is very reasonable in terms of bonus playthrough, considering that some betting sites require you to wager 30 times the bonus amount before withdrawal.

Slick Website Design

One area where Efbet Sports really stands out is in the website design. Regular bettors will notice a striking similarity to a very well known betting site; the grey and green colour scheme and the layout are remarkably familiar. Disregarding those similarities, it makes for a very easy-to-use website that most punters will find simple to navigate.

At the top of the home page is a very useful option to change the display to your particular time zone, fixtures and events are displayed to your settings so you’ll never miss kick off. There’s also the option to switch between English, Bulgarian, Albanian and Turkish languages.

The site is split into three main columns, with a list of sports displayed to the left, the main central column used to display current events and odds, and the right column reserved for the betslip and additional fixtures/promotions. Once again, a familiar layout! The header menu includes sports, in-play, virtuals, casino, and bonus, as well as a handy multibet button. The multibet section displays upcoming matches with four markets – 1X2 win market, under/over 2.5 goals, 1X2 half-time result, and both teams to score – so you can quickly and easily build accumulators without switching between matches.

It’s a simple and effective layout that makes betting easy, but with no live streams or match graphics, there’s little interaction once you’ve placed your bets. There are also no dedicated apps for Android or iOS, but the mobile site is fully optimised for the small screen, and as you may have guessed, has a more than familiar look about it!

Sports Coverage and Odds

The first negative to point out is that EFbet offers no horse racing betting at all. This will be a big problem for punters who follow racing, but not such an issue for others. Beyond that gripe, the site provides odds on a good range of different sports and a wide selection of events. Football betting is extensively covered, with markets for most leagues around the world, including amateur and non-league games. All of the ‘big’ sports like American Football, Tennis and Motor Sport are covered, as well as plenty of niche sports like Chess, Volleyball, and eSports.

Odds at Efbet generally perform well in comparison to the top bookies. Analysis of recent Champions League games shows that over 150 different betting markets are available, and the odds compare favourably with the best online prices from other bookmakers.

Deposits and Withdrawals

The regular payment methods can all be used for deposits, and bitcoin is also accepted. No fees are applied when you deposit to your account, but they might be when you try to withdraw. Minimum deposit via any method is €5, while minimum withdrawal is €15. Cash outs to credit or debit cards incur no fees but may take up to the usual 2-5 working days. Withdrawals to e-wallets such as Neteller, are paid out within an hour on average, but are subject to a 3% fee. For smaller gamblers who don’t withdraw vast amounts this may not be a problem, but for high rollers that 3% represents a significant proportion of winnings.

Customer service has obviously been something that Efbet has worked on, and it now provides 24-hour support via phone, live chat or email. The website is also full of useful information in the form of FAQ’s, results and a really good statistics section to help you choose your bets.

SBO Site Summary

Efbet Sports makes a good impression, despite the website looking like it was modelled on another bookmaker’s successful brand. It’s well designed and easy-to-use nonetheless. The welcome promotion is a good offer with minimal playthrough, but the lack of ongoing promotions and bonuses is a downfall. Other negatives include no horse racing, fees on some withdrawals, and no live streaming action.

There’s a lot to like about Efbet, and if you’re the type of punter who likes to place a bet and go, it’s perfect. They have a good range of markets and competitive odds, but there is little on the site to keep you hanging around. If it wasn’t for the negative aspects listed above it may score higher, but for now it’s a satisfactory score for a site that is worth signing up to, even if only for the welcome bonus.
