Users immediately land onto the bookmaker homepage which incorporates an orange, black, grey and white colour scheme. The text and graphics could not be described as state of the art, but everything is put together well enough.

The site layout follows the typical modern day bookmaker setup. On the left hand side of the page is the menu, with access to the results page, live results, rules and statistics. Users can view either a standard or advanced statistics section, with most of the sports covered.

It is clear that the PariMatch website has been translated into English by an employee who does not speak the language as their mother tongue. It is always off-putting to see poorly constructed sentences and grammatical mistakes and it can make the terms and conditions, etc. difficult to understand.

Another flaw of the website is that although the homepage is translated into English, some of the other pages and graphics remain in Russian and there is no way to translate the text. The layout of the odds for matches is poor. The way the prices are presented is very confusing and unprofessional. Factor in the poor language translation and it can make the process of striking a bet a difficult one.

Parimatch offer a mobile version of their website in a downloadable format. Customers can install an iOS, Android or Java app from the main site, giving them access to all the functionality of the service when on the move.

In terms of countries covered, the football coverage is decent, with odds for matches from 34 countries around the world on top of international competition. The number of additional bet types for football is disappointing. For English Premier League matches, there are 1X2, Asian handicap, over/under, over/under for each team and 1X2 first half betting odds. There are also a number of other different betting options including correct score, etc. but the variety is nowhere near as big as any of the major and most of the smaller firms in operation.

Basketball betting encompasses most of the leagues from around the world, with odds on matches from Cyprus to Indonesia. Most typically, there will be prices for the Asian handicap, total points, 1X2, and individual totals.

Considering that the lion’s share of Parimatch’s business emanates from Eastern Europe, the ice hockey depth is inadequate. Odds can be found for matches from the USA, Canada and some of the European leagues, but more could be expected in terms of countries covered and extra bet types.

The competitiveness of odds can be a major determining factor which influences which bookmaker a punter chooses to use.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, there is not a whole lot to recommend Parimatch to punters, especially those who speak English as their first language.

The site is clearly designed for Eastern European bettors, with all of the customer support telephone lines located in countries around the region. The sub markets for each sport are poorly put together and finding a specific bet can be an arduous task.

In fairness, the odds are reasonable, but they are not generous enough to compensate for the pitfalls of the website. Furthermore, UK-based customers can no longer use the service.
