Basic But Good Basic
MustardBet bookmaker is not an unattractive site but it does have the look of one that’s still in development – which, as a new bookie, it essentially is. White and light blue graphics against a black background make for a pleasant, no-frills look, and coupled with a straightforward, equally no-frills design, it works fine, even if when compared to some of its competitors it does look basic. That’s not always a bad thing though – we like understated when what’s behind it is robust and does the job. Odds are offered to the customer in decimal form.
Juicy Bonuses on Offer
This won’t take long! At the time of this review there are none available for the sports betting part of the site. They do however have some for the casino side of their operation, which are both generous and ongoing – as opposed to being one-off.
But, it’s important to remember MustardBet bookmaker is a site that’s still in the development phase, and some of its developments further down the line will pertain to rewarding existing customers and encouraging new ones.
Hopefully, as a result, this will change in the months and years ahead and there will be promotions for existing and new customers alike. We suggest you check because we’re confident that there will be some.
Within the betting industry, odds compiled to between 105% and 106% are generally considered average. That MustardBet compiled to 104% is very impressive.
Quality Not Quantity?
MustardBet bookmaker certainly hasn’t gone for broke when it comes to offering their punters a huge variety of sports. Some sports sites make it their job to offer their customers every single sport known to man (plus a few no man has heard of) but MustardBet have taken quality over quantity to the extreme. At the time of this review there were just four:
Football, NFL, Tennis, Golf
To be fair, while this may seem a very sparse offering compared to most of their competitors, we applaud this approach, particularly for a new site. Instead, what they have done is to go big on football – the biggest betting sport in the world – and have offered it to their customers in some considerable detail.
They cover football from the following 20 countries:
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey
And within these countries they go deep and, along the way, cover some of the biggest and best leagues in the world, including the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Sky Bet Championship. For each match, they offer a decent depth of bets with some really pleasing tech that allows the customer to simply click on a bet to take it to the betting slip.
They also offer their punters a particularly impressive in-play feature called ‘MustardBall’, which gives an accurate up-to-the-minute picture of the latest happenings in either a football or tennis match. Also worthy of note is that there is no bet delay.
Golf is also well covered, mainly the big tournaments, with a good selection of bets available within each even, with tennis being covered on a similar basis.
The NFL coverage we found a little disappointing, but it may just pertain to a bug that is to be fixed. No game-by-game bets were available and instead the only bets available were for the outright winners of the Superbowl. We expect there to be some markets for individual matches in the future.
In terms of odds, MustardBet bookmaker more than make up for its lack of bonuses. They do this by putting their money into offering competitive prices at very tight margins. Within the betting industry, odds compiled between 105% and 106% are generally considered average and so for theirs to be compiled to 104% shows a genuine desire to offer their customers some good value. Very impressive.
All Good for Betting on the Go and Live
MustardBet bookmaker caters very well indeed for bettors who love to bet on the move. They’ve created a site that configures nicely for those who use a mobile browser on their smartphone, tablet or phablet – using Google Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer – and which can be accessed wherever there is an internet connection.
They have apps available for iOS and Android devices, which can be downloaded directly from the Apple app store or Google Play, both of which are extremely good and well designed.
Depositing and Withdrawing – There’s No Limits
In their own words “We don’t limit anyone at all on bets, deposits or withdrawals”, which pretty much says it all. Another positive by-product of them not offering bonuses and promotions is that they are able to allow themselves a greater flexibility than many of their competitors.
They offer their customer the chance to use the following methods:
Deposit Methods:
DEPOSIT METHODS | FEE | PROCESSING TIME | DEPOSIT LIMITS |
---|---|---|---|
Visa | No Fee | Instant | No Min / No Max |
Maestro | No Fee | Instant | No Min / No Max |
MasterCard | No Fee | Instant | No Min / No Max |
Payout Methods:
DEPOSIT METHODS | FEE | PROCESSING TIME | DEPOSIT LIMITS |
---|---|---|---|
Visa | No Fee | Instant | No Min / No Max |
Maestro | No Fee | Instant | No Min / No Max |
MasterCard | No Fee | Instant | No Min / No Max |
English All the Way
The site is aimed at the UK market, so naturally enough English is the language used. Similarly, the currency used is sterling (£) and/or Euro. Generally, only bettors in the UK can use MustardBet bookmaker, although their customer services suggested that when registering it becomes clear if there is scope for punters elsewhere to sign up.
Safe and Secure, But with the Odd Bug or Two
With regard to security and safety we found no problems at all with MustardBet, although it’s clear there are still some bugs and glitches that need addressing before the site’s functionality can be considered A1. But there was nothing from a security point of view to bother us and an online search also revealed no problems.
We found their customer services team to be very helpful indeed, and they literally answered every single one of our queries with speed, efficiency and courtesy. While some may consider this a minor point, we found it very comforting, and filled us with confidence that going forward MustardBet bookmaker will grow and grow.
In addition to a live chat facility that is available between 10am and 10pm, seven days a week, they also have an email helpline (support@mustardbet.com), and also we’re happy to report they have a good solid section on the site on the importance of responsible gambling.
Our Verdict
MustardBet bookmaker is new and a little basic but we like it. From its no-frills design to its limited range of sports, there remains a certain charm to this site that appeals, especially when you look closely at the odds they offer their punters.
One downside, which ties in with it being a new bespoke site that has been set up from scratch, is that there are still glitches to be ironed out, and we expect MustardBet to overcome these and get better going forward.
