Website

The MB24 website follows a conventional bookmaker layout. A white, navy and blue theme is utilised, with the list of sports down the left hand side of the page. Customer can see the list of the most popular markets above all the different disciplines, and there is also a search bar where a specific team/match can be accessed quickly. The centre of the page hosts the live betting and betting highlights and each sport is easily distinguishable, with a small icon indicating the event next to the odds. The right hand side plays host to the bet slip and a number of promotions.

There is statistics section which can be accessed by clicking on the chart next to the odds for each event.

For customers wanting to place a bet on the move, MB24 have a perfectly reasonable mobile site which loads as a web app when visiting www.mb24.com from a mobile. Punters are able to access all of the same features as when using their desktop, and the design is clear and transitions fluid.

Languages

MB24 offer their site in 6 different languages – English, Spanish (Argentinean), Italian, German, Portuguese and French

Markets

In total, MB24 compile odds for 27 different sports and they also have a specials section, which covers politics and awards etc. Football is at the top of the pile and other mainstream popular sports include basketball, American football, tennis, baseball and ice hockey. MB24 exhibit solid coverage of the more niche and minor disciplines such as handball, speedway, floorball, futsal and bandy. There is also a section dedicated to virtual sports, where customers are able to bet on virtual football, horse racing and greyhound racing. These events are pure revenue makers, with each event working to very high margins in the bookmakers favour.

The football depth is extensive. MB24 have most corners of the globe covered, with odds compiled for matches from Jordan to New Zealand. The English football stretches as far as the Ryman Premier (8th tier) and there is betting on women’s football as well.

MB24 also do well when it comes to number of additional bet types. On the day of the game between Anderlecht v Gent in the Belgian Cup, on top of the 1X2 odds, there were 99 extra bet types. To put this into context, BetVictor only priced up 27 additional bets, while other bookmakers were better with 72, but still behind MB24.

The basketball coverage is very decent. Wagers can be struck on matches in countries such as Argentina, Australia, France, Poland and Romania, as well as the top leagues around the world. Matches in the NBA typically have around 10-15 extra bet types which is around the industry standard.

Odds

The odds for football matches in the English Premier League are competitive. The generosity of bookmakers’ odds can be measured by the total book percentage of markets, with a 100% book representing no inbuilt profits for the firm. Matches in England typically compile to 104-105% which is not market leading, but very solid.

The moneyline odds in NBA basketball matches compile to similar odds – around 104.5%, while prices for ATP tour tennis matches are a little less favourable, usually 107-108%. There doesn’t appear to be a great deal of consistency, as the handicap odds for ice hockey are very good – working to 103.5% books.

Promotions

At face value, MB24’s welcome bonus is very generous – a 50% bonus up to €200. Customers are just required to enter the MB100 code when signing up.

The bonus is credited to customers’ accounts once their initial deposit has been rolled over once. Bets excluded for the purpose of activating the bonus are handicap, over/under bets or selections with odds of 1.6 or shorter. Once the bonus has been received, the initial deposit and the bonus amount must be rolled over 6 times to be eligible for withdrawal (e.g. €200 deposit + €100 bonus x 6 = €1800 staking requirement). Again, only selections with odds of 1.6 and above and no handicap or over/under bets qualify. Whatever the customers’ bonus is, constitutes as their maximum contribution towards the rollover requirements for each bet. So for a customer who has claimed a €100 bonus, even if they placed a €300 bet, only €100 would go towards satisfying the rollover.

There are different requirements for customers from different countries, most probably due to the levels of bonus abuse that goes on in various locations. Payers from Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Holland, Italy, Ireland receive a 50% bonus up to €200 and must roll over the deposit and bonus amount 6 times before you can withdraw winnings. Players from Finland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland receive a 50% bonus up to €150 and must roll over the deposit and bonus amount 6 times before you can withdraw winnings Players from the Rest of the World receive a 50% bonus up to €100 must roll over the deposit and bonus amount 6 times before you can withdraw winnings.

Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Georgia, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, USA and Uzbekistan are not eligible for any bonuses.

Customers using their mobile phones are able to claim 100% up to €100 with the same terms. The bonus seems decent at first glance, but only players from certain countries are allowed to participate and the rollover requirements are quite stringent.

Customer Services

The customer services are reasonable, but could be improved. Users are able to email in to customer services at help@mb24.com, or they can contact live chat (accessible at the bottom right hand corner of the screen), but there is no direct telephone number to speak with staff.

Payment Types

Customer can fund their MB24 accounts through various different methods:

  • Visa debit/credit
  • Mastercard
  • Giropay
  • iDeal
  • TrustPay
  • SafetyPay
  • Poli payments
  • QIWI
  • Paysafe card
  • Ukash
  • Astropay
  • Sofort
  • Neteller
  • Skrill

There is a good range of e-wallets, prepaid cards, and virtual visas, giving customers plenty of options.

Overall

MB24 are relatively young, but their service is decent. With a fair number of sports and very good market depth, customers can generally find odds for most events. The prices lean towards the more competitive side of the industry, especially when it comes to ice hockey and football. MB24 could do with getting a UK gambling license so that they could re-offer their services to clientele in the country, and they could also benefit from a direct telephone number and office hours, to show a little more transparency. However, customers could definitely do worse than having a MB24 bet account at their disposal.
